Groot Sleutelfontein is situated near the picturesque Victorian town of
Prince Albert in the Great Karoo, South Africa. It is 440km from Cape
Town and 160kmfrom George.
TERRAIN:
Groot Sleutelfontein has the perfect hunting terrain, with a balance
of mountainous areas, vast open plains and thick vegetation along
our wide riverbeds.
The terrain allows for quality walk and stalks as well as long range
shots if desired.
ACCOMMODATION:
• A modern lodge with cozy interior, and dining area, braai area,
comfortable lounge , TV and a bar.
• A sparkling swimming pool and deck for lazy lounging after a successful
day in the South African sun.
• 4 luxury lodge rooms which area adjacent to the main lodge area.
These rooms each have 2 double beds and a spacious en-suite bathroom.
The lodge rooms also have air-conditioning for hot days.
• 3 stone cottages which are seperately placed for guests who enjoy their
own privacy
MEALS:
We serve breakfast, lunch and 3 course dinners which provide for a
rich experience of South African cuisine.

• This pricelist excludes 15% VAT.
• Availability of animals may change throughout the course of the hunting
season.
• We reserve the right to change prices prior to deposits being received.
• Animals not listed on the pricelist may not be shot, should this happen the
hunter will be liable for the prevailing trophy value plus 100%. The
management of Groot Sleutelfontein will determine the value and the hunter
will have no right to dispute this value.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
• An Indemnity form must be completed by hunters and non-hunters at Groot
Sleutelfontein. In the case of non-hunters, the head of the family can complete one
indemnity in respect of the entire family.
• Hunting will commence at sunrise and end at sunset.
• All rifles must be sighted on Groot Sleutelfontein’s shooting range before hunting
commences.
• No rifles will be allowed in rooms. (All rifles must be handed over to lodge
management upon arrival. All rifles will be kept in lodge safe when not hunting.)
• A minimum caliber rifle of .270 on game bigger than Impala required.
• No hunting of any territorial or tagged Springbuck rams will be allowed.
• Kudu bulls available throughout the season, Kudu cows only 01 May to 31 July.
• There is a yearly quota on each specie that is allowed to be hunted each year,
please check availability of species to avoid any disappointment.
• Hunters must be accompanied by a guide at all times when hunting.
• Hunters remain responsible for shot placement, judging the distance, sexing and
finding of the animals during the hunt. Guides or Groot Sleutelfontein personnel are
only there for your assistance.
• When hunting next to the game fence and animals break through, the hunter will be
held liable for all incurring costs.
• Wounded animals affirmed by your guide, will be paid in full.
• No pets allowed.
• No alcohol will be allowed in the veldt while hunting.
• No littering on the reserve.
• Any vehicles not in service of Groot Sleutefontein will not be allowed outside the lodge
area.
• All carcases remains the property of Groot Sleutelfontein until all fees are paid in full.
• The premises is entered and activities undertaken at own risk. Groot Sleutelfontein
management and staff accepts no responsibility for any injuries, mistakes, accidents,
damage and/or death of any visitor and/or property on the reserve.
• Should a change of ownership occur, Groot Sleutelfontein reserves the right to cancel
a booking and repay any deposits. The client has no right to any further claims.
