Chimoyo Wildlife & Safaris is a 3,200 hectare private game reserve situated in the world-renowned Valley of the Elephants. This beautiful valley stretches eastward from the foothills of the northern Drakensberg and is bordered by the Elephants river in the south and the Greater Letaba river in the North. We have been in operation since 2001 and pride ourselves in the quantity, variety and excellent quality of our trophy animals and the condition of our biltong animals. We regularly have some particularly large buffalo and sable antelope available. Our eco friendly solar powered hunting camp consist of 5 double tents on elevated wooden decks, outside showers, two thatched ablutions, thatched kitchen/dining room and open lapa and fireplace is remotely settled between two granite koppies. The camp is cleaned and serviced daily and you can choose between the self-catered or fully catered options. We are proud of the excellent tracking and bush skills of our five very experienced hunting guides, and most of them has been with us since 2001. We have experienced skinners that can prepare your valuable trophies with the utmost care to the point where it is ready to be delivered to the taxidermist. For biltong hunters we have large herds of plains game available as well as free skinning and cool room facilities. At a very competitive additional fee we can also prepare your biltong, steaks, fillets, mince and wors and have it vacuum packed whilst you continue enjoying the rest of your hunt. We provide a hunting vehicle at no additional charge but we strictly hunt on foot only. The vehicle is used to get the hunters and their guides into the hunting areas and to transport hunted animals to the skinning and cool room area. Free firewood is also provided daily on the proviso that guests use it prudently and responsibly because of the associated risks of veld fires.

Facilities
Hunters and their companions are accommodated in a rustic but comfortable camp consisting of 5 tents on wooden decks. A maximum hunting party of 10 people can be accommodated. There are 2 thatched ablutions, an open lapa, barbeque and bar area as well as a thatched kitchen and dining room. The camp is solar powered and the kitchen comes fully equipped with fridge/freezer, gas stove as well as all cutlery, crockery and utensils. Depending upon the size of the hunting party, PH’s are either accommodated in the camp or at a nearby farm house. Do you want us to prepare your meat cuts, mince, biltong and wors? While you still enjoy the rest of your hunt we can provide the following services at very competitive rates. • Cutting, curing and drying of your biltong. • Making of venison boerewors • Making venison dry wors • Mince meat (1kg - 2kg) bags • Vacuum pack your cuts eg. Steaks and fillets. You can thus leave here with your meat conveniently processed and packed. Should you require these on-site processing services we need confirmation at least 10 days prior to the commencement of your hunt.

Terms and conditions
" Wounded animals to be paid for as per price list. Safari to be paid in full upon completion of hunt. All payments to be made by electronic transfers, cash. Custom–made packages available on request. Additional trophies and hunting days can be added onto packages. All reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and good health of clients will be taken. However, no liability will be accepted for injury, loss or illness before, during and after the safari. Clients are required to read and sign our indemnity form prior to the commencement of the safari."
