Terms and conditions

1. Deposit: Accommodation payable in full before or on arrival. 2. The lodge is considered non-smoking area. Please use the Boma area for smoking. Be careful and do not throw stubs around in the bushveld. The bushveld is dry & burns easily. 3. All hunting accounts will be settled before leaving the premises. 4. On the last day of the hunt, all hunters will vacate the premises no later than 14:00. 5. No person will be allowed into the field without the owner or representative of Ortus Boerdery. 6. All weapons will be tested / shot in advance on the designated shooting range before a hunter will be allowed to hunt. 7. If a hunter takes a shot on any animal and blood is found, the full price is payable. 8. Although the guide can point out huntable wildlife, the shooter who takes the shot remains responsible for the decision to shoot. The hunter remains responsible for the consequences of such a shot, and has to pay the animal in full. 9. Missed-shots are charged at R 100 per shot. 10. No alcoholic beverages are allowed during hunting trips. 11. No hunting is allowed on Sundays. 12. Unless special circumstances exist and have been agreed with the owners in advance, no animals may be hunted from vehicles or at the waterhole. 13. Upon arrival, the indemnity form will be signed according to which Ortus Farming and its representatives will indemnify against any claims arising out of any activities held by the Hunting Expedition.
